KJ Jeffrey is an artist currently based in Dubai. Realising her passion for drawing from a young age, it was inevitable that drawing would still be a huge part of her life throughout her education and professional career. KJ trained as an architect in Scotland gaining her Masters of Architecture from the University of Strathclyde, UK and going on to work in an architecture design studio in Paris.

Throughout her education KJ designed with a hands on approach focusing on returning to traditional hand-drawing techniques as a means of expression, putting pen to paper and avoiding the computer where possible.

​

Now based back in the United Arab Emirates where she grew up, KJs work is influenced by the change and evolution of the architecture and urban fabric of cities she resides in and visits. Witnessing the change in the UAE from 1990 has given KJs work a unique dynamic and has influenced her style of drawing and subject. Primarily using pen and ink, her drawings utilise simple tools.
